Enriching classic play with digital fun

For Jumbo, we created musical enjoyment for the whole family with an app that complements the globally-known game Hitster.

Combining worlds
Jumbo, a company renowned for its board games, developed the concept for Hitster as a game involving DJs and music guessing before bringing Faraday on board.
The challenge was to add a digital component without compromising the physical experience, while ensuring the app remained simple enough to work in various situations worldwide.
Through multiple research phases and digital prototypes, Hitster was developed, and the results speak for themselves.

Scalability
Since the launch, Faraday has maintained the system and integrated Craft CMS, allowing the Jumbo team and their distributors to easily add new music datasets.
Distributors in different countries manage the local rollout, while Faraday continues to improve data management on a global scale.

A Resounding success
Since its launch, over a million units have been sold worldwide. Hitster has also received multiple awards. Together, this serves as proof that games with a digital aspect can successfully bring people together in the physical world!
