Preparing families for a nerve-wracking hospital intervention

With Hoi Dokter, children experience their hospital admission in advance through a personal and interactive story, covering everything in a positive yet honest manner. Together with their parents, they navigate through this story and can reflect on the topics that matter to them.

Young children often cannot yet envision what a hospital is like, so we provide them with a clear visual understanding of what to expect. For parents, it’s beneficial to be informed in a calm and timely manner. Just before a procedure, there is usually too much stress to absorb all the information effectively.

The app is now used by institutions such as Amsterdam UMC, Maastricht UMC+, and OLVG. They successfully employ the app for common treatments such as inguinal hernia repairs, grommet insertions, and tonsil removals. This way, we help more and more families every day!
