Transforming reading into a magical journey
Weekly news reports indicate that children's enjoyment of reading and reading levels are declining. At Faraday we don't want to let this happen, so we decided to take action ourselves.
Learning through play
The VerhaalSpeciaal app promotes playful learning by allowing parents and children to create imaginative stories together. Currently in the prototype stage, the app facilitates a game between the duo to come up with settings, characters, and themes that transform into countless unique stories. We believe we can inspire more children to love reading by giving them a say in the story and involving them more actively.
A helping hand
Each story comes to life with an AI-generated setting that responds to the reader's actions. In collaboration with the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, we have developed AI agents that not only create stories and stimulating visuals but also analyse the child's reading level and adjust accordingly. This provides an immersive reading experience perfectly tailored to the child, featuring challenging texts and interactive exercises.
This unique concept combines Augmented Reality, voice recognition, facial recognition, and generative AI to create a magical reading experience.

The VerhaalSpeciaal app brings children and parents closer together, making learning enjoyable. The end result is a story that is entirely 'theirs', featuring their own characters and settings, brought to life together with a parent. In this way, every learning moment becomes unforgettable.
