Fully compliant and ready for the future

We have modernised the website of WestlandUtrecht Bank to meet the standards and security norms set by ING.

Next level
With the ever-changing laws and regulations surrounding digital services, the WestlandUtrecht Bank website did no longer meet the requirements set by ING.
Faraday first conducted an audit to identify both the issues and opportunities for technical optimisation and improved user-friendliness.
The outcome of the audit provided insights into what was needed for the refresh of the WestlandUtrecht Bank website.

Web standards
The audit also revealed that the (navigation) structure and the number of different components resulted in a non-logical and cluttered whole.
We reduced the number of components from 46 to 23 and simplified the structure. By implementing a set of rules on how to manage the structure, we provide content managers with an easier-to-maintain website that is less prone to errors.
Inclusivity
The accessibility audit of the WestlandUtrecht Bank website showed that while the site generally met the standards, there was still room for improvement.
Key recommendations for making the website more inclusive and accessible included adding descriptive labels and clear error messages, focus styles for keyboard navigation, and increased contrast for visually impaired users.

Keeping up with time
The WUB website is now fully up-to-date, meets all requirements, and is prepared for the future. Behind the scenes, management of the site has become simpler. This makes the CMS easy to maintain and update and ensures smooth and efficient operation.
